Hello Moya

I have had this written in my note for a while now and thought, why not sharing it on my blog.

I still remember this: Months ago, my roommate and I were having this conversation about me getting flowers almost all the time. I told her “Oh, I’m getting it for myself so I don’t get too excited and act like a villager when a male gets me flowers some days, lol.” It was a funny reply but she wasn’t sharing the same idea because unlike me, flowers aren’t her thing, she even said that she wouldn’t accept flowers from a male because they’re just flowers – which I respect, I mean, to each their own.

There’s something really special about taking a shower, dressing up, and heading to the flower store just to grab a few bouquets and run back home. It’s just… awesome – and can make one’s lifestyle feel special and upgraded.

One thing for sure is that I do not buy flowers just because they are pretty to look at or Pinterest inspired it – they actually make me feel better and grown. I feel so relaxed and, creative when I have them around. The effect is just wow.

People think it’s weird to get flowers for oneself, I do not share this opinion. I truly believe that it is better to get the.yourself than hoping of waiting on someone else to do it. So instead of waiting for someone else to give you flowers, why not be your own flower fairy? Treating yourself to a bouquet isn’t just a nice thing to do – it’s a way of showing yourself some love and appreciation.

Whether you put a single flower on your desk or fill your whole room with blooms, each one is like a little gift to yourself.

It took me 33 months of living in the United States to realize how much I love and enjoy flowers. I started learning flower arrangement and bouquet design to craft some unique ones for my close friends – and so far, their comments are very positive. It went from cultivating myself to become a flower girl to turning my friends into ones.

So next time you’re sad, depressed, stressed or overwhelmed or jealous about not receiving flowers from someone, think about buying them yourself and make yourself feel special. And always remember, life is like a garden blossoming, and every flower – especially the ones you give yourself – deserves to be cherished.
